We walked around the corner and got a gelato at San Crispino. It’s supposed to be pretty famous for gelato. It was yummy. I liked the lemon. We walked over to the Hard Rock CafĂ©’ to get a shot glass then walked over to the Spanish Steps. It was getting dark so the pictures weren’t real good. Maybe we will go back if we have time. We walked back to the hotel. Michael checked out his email and I worked on pictures again. We are tired and have another long day tomorrow! Nite all!

We ate breakfast at the hotel. Today we wanted to walk the path of Illumination and “breathe the air of intrigue and mystery” J especially after reading the book and seeing the movie by Dan Brown.
Around the year 1600, in Rome, one of the most influential secret societies in history was born: The Illuminati.
The society was accessible only to the brightest: scientists, artists, poets, scholars and philosophers whose new ideas were frowned upon by the Church.
Gian Lorenzo Bernini and Galileo Galilei, the twin heads of the society, paved a secret path through the most central parts of the Eternal City, scattering obscure clues that once decoded, would lead Illuminati the highly skilled to their most secret lair – the Church of Illumination.
The symbol of the Illuminati was a pyramid with the emblem of the all-seeing-eye inside – a symbol you can see today on the dollar bill. The four-sided pyramid represents the four mystic elements of the Illuminati: EARTH, AIR, FIRE and WATER. The triangular shaped walls of the pyramid replicate the Greek symbol “delta”, which means change. Lastly, the all-seeing-eye was symbolic of the Illuminati’s omniscient presence in European society.
